点评:This collection came together via annual trips by the owner, John, to the Midwestern States. He takes a livestock trailer, and attends auctions or other events to gather what is on display here. An eclectic collection of items. Even an entire outhouse, brought in from Nebraska. The photos speak for themselves.
Everything on display in the several barns is for sale. If you are into decorating with unique items, this is a gold mine. The owner, John, and a friend of his create items themselves. All by combining pieces of what John hauled in. I was unfortunately on a motorcycle passing through. So I could not let my imagination go wild as I might have with a car and room to hold loot.
John was incredibly gracious. Knowing full well that I would not be able to buy anything, he spent a long time explaining where the pieces originated, and, often equally importantly, how they were used. He knew the purpose of every tool, or household item, no matter how old.
I have never seen a collection like this one, and it was a main event for me in Roseburg.
Tip: I took a wrong turn when I reached the house number with an arrow that supposedly pointed to the barns, which hold the collection. To me, the arrow pointed left into vineyards. But when you see the house numbers, just make a right turn around those house numbers, and proceed to the barns, which are already in sight at this point.
