Islay was a bucket list trip as my husband and I both love Islay scotch and Arthur took our dream trip and made it magical. We booked Arthur for the day with plans to visit 5 distilleries in one day. We were fortunate to have good weather during our visit and Arthur went out of his way to take us to the most picturesque and breathtaking views of the island. Arthur’s knowledge and experience working at several of the distilleries was the perfect blend of history and personal stories that left us captivated.
Arthur encapsulates Islay. His humble pride, passion for preservation of history and deep appreciation for tradition, makes you feel like you are part of the story.
If you go to Islay and don’t book Arthur, The Bodach, you will have missed an unforgettable experience.
We will be back to Islay. We fell in love with the breathtaking views and history drenched peat-fields. Most importantly, we’ll be back to revisit the serene quaint beauty of the island and to share a dram with Arthur.
