点评:We were on the small bus tour through four NYC boroughs and we had two stops in this District of Brooklyn. One was at Domino Park which we genuinely loved and the second was in the part of this District which is home to the Satmar Hasidic community, ultra-Orthodox Jewish enclave, second largest after that in Israel. We came when everything was closed in that part of District as they celebrated some Jewish holiday. It was a bit cultural shock despite I knew a lot about Jewish culture. We had about 20 minutes so we walked a bit around. Balconies on the houses were covered that nobody can see the people. Women with children in prams were walking separately from men with boys who wore some special costumes. I tried to talk to a couple of women asking what holiday they celebrate but hardly got answer. I really would like to know more about their culture and it was pity that everything was closed as I would go to any shop and start talking with people there as we've been told by the guide despite they tend to keep the streets to their community they don't mind if others buy houses or flats there. It's definitely interesting area and apparently is generally considered safe, we've been told. We saw two very different parts of this District so I decided to give rating as average.
