Pleasant June Visit to the Park

点评：We had a very nice visit to the park after we visited the nearby BMW Museum area. There is a nice shaded area by the food vendors once we crossed the highway and we had a nice picnic. We spent about an hour walking around and enjoyed a couple of displays like the small museum outside the aquatics center and the Olympic Walk of Fame which displayed mostly international music artists handprints and signatures - there was Metallica, Shania Twain, Carlos Santana and quite a few more popular musicians.
The area was pleasant and family friendly with activities for children. We were appreciative of the shaded areas because it was a very hot day when we visited Munich. The lakes and the park make it very scenic with the flowing designs of the sports halls. The tower is currently undergoing renovations and is closed until 2026 according to the signage. This area is free to enter and there are some activities which you can pay for. There are also a few food trucks and places to eat in the Olympic Park.
It takes about 30 minutes to get here using public transport with the nearest U-Bahn subway station being Olympiazentrum or about a 15 minute drive from the city center. There is lots of parking at BMW Welt and it is pretty reasonable. We spent around 3 hours in the area going through the BMW Museum and Welt.
