点评:I enjoyed this sanctuary. It was smaller than most places however this means you get to interact more with the animals.
I began by walking around and feeding the kangaroos. It was a hot day so many lounged. I was happy to sit and wait til they come to me. (The pull of the brown paper bag)
Watched the retirement village for the Tassie Devils. So cute napping.
I did get a quick climsp of the echidna as he ran around. Loved the white magpies, glad they are safe to live out their lives.
The park has a speaker to let people know when the free tour is.
Loved the interactive tour. The guide was very knowledgeable, funny and her love of her job and her animal charges shines through. She explained the rehabilitation process and what animals will be released back into the wild or be transferred to other breeding programs for genetic diversity.
It was wonderful seeing the love she had for the baby wombat and Tassie devil. She held them carefully making sure they were okay before bringing them around for people to take photos.
At devil feeding time she did warn people to walk away if they would feel overwhelmed or upset by the devil's feeding.
Loved this place and appreciate the animal's best interest comes first. People second. Truly a devoted animal sanctuary.
Happy to pay the entry fee to help the animals.
