点评:Had a sudden change to our itinerary thus needed a 2 night stay and chose here. We were in DC70 which was a short hard to see the asphalt for the pinestraw pull thru. We were initially impressed with the marina check in area and manicured property. The impressions changed after that as the road to and within the campground is riddled with hidden dips and some potholes. Then the site. GRANTED previous campers should’ve picked up after themselves but in our 8 yrs of
Camping 2 months out of the year, this is only the 2nd time we found our site a mess. Staff and/or hosts usually do some cleaning. Luckily our leaf blower took care of the pinestraw. And listen I also get it’s the season of it falling but there were very few campers and straw was abundant . Someone could’ve cleaned the sites that had guests on the way. The firepit area was a mess. Yes we could’ve had a fire or cleaned it out ourselves but we were pretty unhappy at that point plus my former Boy Scout /SO will NOT burn plastic. Bath houses dated but clean. Not sure if the soap bag didn’t fit in the 2 holders or what that story was. It was our first time camping in an Alabama State Park (have visited several) and it was not good. One and done on this one.
