My favorite spot in Savannah
福赛思公园的点评
点评：After our historic trolley tour of Savannah, we decided we would stop first at Forsyth Park to walk and see all the live oaks up close. As we were driving, we discovered there was a restaurant in the park, The Collins Quarter. It was at the opposite end of the park where we parked our car so it was a long walk there. My husband didn't bring his walker so it was a bit of a long walk for him with his cane. If you have a walker and it's hot, use it. You'll need to stop often but there are a lot of benches along the sidewalk.
The fountain was beautiful. The walk around the park was beautiful. It was only a few blocks walk to the Mercer/Williams House so I did that by myself after lunch.
This park is a place that I would love to come to back to some day if we ever get back this way. Well worth the time to get out of the car and look around. Also, the oldest live oak tree is just across the street in the SCAD building. We didn't realize that until we were looking for it the next day. Beautiful tree. Well worth the stop to pull into the visitors parking area at the school.
