Interesting Modern Art and Great Sculptures
路易斯安那现代艺术博物馆的点评
点评：The Louisiana Museum of Modern Art is located close to the town of Humlebæk which is around 25 miles to the north of Copenhagen.
I boarded a regional train from Copenhagen central station to Humlebæk which took around 45 minutes.
The pleasant walk from Humlebæk station to the museum was around three quarters of a mile.
The museum is very big and modern with great views over the Oresund.
I liked a fair amount of the standing collection especially the work of Danish artist John Asger.
The outdoor sculpture park was really good and included work by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore and Joan Miro.
Inside the museum, there was also a good collection of sculptures by Alberto Giacometti.
I also took in two special exhibitions during my visit.
The first, called Ocean, was an eclectic mix of paintings, sculptures and videos relating to marine matters.
I liked the works by Georgia O’Keeffe, Hiroshige and Anselm Kieffer as well as The Rift Of The Medusa by Kara Walker.
The second exhibition contained a large selection of paintings by Russian Expressionist Alexej Jawlensky. These were excellent and a good cross section of his entire career.
Admission fee was DKR 145.
