Heartbreaking Reality Behind the Marketing

点评：While it is clear that some of the staff genuinely care about the animals, my overall experience at Featherdale Wildlife Park was deeply heartbreaking. The park presents itself as a wildlife sanctuary and conservation-focused experience, but what I witnessed did not reflect ethical or responsible animal care.
When I first arrived, I saw a koala on the ground, visibly distressed and unable to reach a tree, with no staff nearby to assist. The small kangaroos roam freely through visitor areas without proper supervision — children and wheelchairs were passing extremely close, and it felt unsafe both for the animals and the visitors. Many tourists were feeding the animals food brought from home, which is clearly harmful to their health, yet there was little staff presence to prevent this.
Several enclosures were extremely small, and many animals appeared stressed and uncomfortable. It was difficult to watch. There also does not seem to be enough staff to properly monitor animal welfare or visitor behavior, which leads to harmful interactions.
I understand that zoos are a complex and often controversial topic, but the marketing of Featherdale suggests a wildlife conservatory dedicated to protection and education. Unfortunately, the reality did not match this image. I left feeling saddened.
I hope management takes stronger steps toward genuine animal welfare, proper supervision, and honest representation of what the park truly is.
