点评：We have stayed on Kaanapali before, visited it many times. It's a nice, tourist-centric beach. I call it "The Waikiki of Maui" . Kaanapali is where Sharpay and Ryan go to the beach. Great swimming, you can sunbathe steps from your boujee hotel room, people watch infinitely, and burn the crap out of the soles of your feet. Shade is nonexistent, so bring or rent your own.
Tons of nice restaurants and upscale watering holes all along the beach. Khaki shorts and Chubbies shirts abound.
The $200 sunset cruise on a catamaran is 300 yards away from the shore looking at the same sunset you will see for free, which is usually the best part of the day on Kaanapali. Great sunsets. Seriously.
Snorkeling is mid at Black Rock, mostly nonexistent along most of the sandy area. You have to jump off of Black Rock at least once in your lifetime. You came this far, suck it up and take the leap. You won't regret it.
It's a beach on Maui. All stereotypes apply. It's not private, unique or intimate. It's a meat show, but there is saltwater to float in, and sometimes, that's all you really need.
