An absolutely splendid walk!
Grand Union Canal的点评
点评：The Grand Union Canal links London to Birmingham and it passes through beautiful countryside, industrial towns and small, picturesque villages. A friend and I recently did a nearly 3-hour walk from Uxbridge to Rickmansworth along the canal and we had a great time. On the way we enjoyed the quiet and solitude of the countryside, the sight of elegant boats going up the river, and the opportunity to admire some splendid large houses near the canal.
My friend and I have gone on many walks in and around London and I can honestly say that aside from a couple of walks we did in Richmond, this is the most picturesque "London" walk that we've ever done. Do take note that there aren't many, if any, toilets along the way and there are few benches, but once you get to Rickmansworth, you can easily find toilets and you'll also be able to take the Metropolitan tube line back to London.
