Nice house but beware of jobsworth volunteers

点评：Found the house very interesting and the gardens were lovely. Can’t fault the cafe and shop. Our visit was slightly spoilt by two of the volunteers though.
On arriving and parking up we were approached by a very cross looking parking attendant who was going on about us and the gentleman next to us having parked incorrectly, even though we were perfectly straight and not wasting space. Another motorist on the other side of us had parked very poorly and was not approached . We decided to park elsewhere. Had we not driven for almost 2 hours to get there we might have just left.
The other member of staff was in the house and quite rude to me because I was wearing a camera back pack. He insisted I took it off and wore it in my front . It isn’t designed to be worn like that and I was worried it might fall off and damage my camera equipment. He wouldn’t let me carry the bag in any other way. I have been a NT member for many years and was not aware of this policy. Had I known I’d have not brought it.
