点评:I booked the tour. The weather was awful, pouring rain. Couldn’t get in either of the car parks opposite the Foundry. Managed to park on a side road about 5 mins walk away. Arrived 20 mins early. Other people on the tour were there. We had trouble finding the entrance and then when we found it we had to stand outside and wait until someone came to unlock the door. Luckily most folks had umbrellas. When we were allowed in there was a mad dash for the toilets as most folks had come from far afield. The staff who took us on the tour were very informative and friendly. I think they were volunteers. We went all round the outside of the building, round the factory and even on to the workshop floor. The bells were amazing. Some were new and others were being refurbished. It was really interesting learning about the history of the place and the working processes. Well worth a trip. Would have been nice to get a hot drink though. There was a small shop but no refreshments.
