点评:This is a review for the Snowdrop walk and Farmers market 1st February 2025.
Where do I start? Well, to begin with we joined the very lengthy queue on the main road that leads to the hall driveway entrance. After almost an hour sat on the driveway, we eventually made it to the car park where some oath tried to make us park right on a very tight corner, (we were in a Hyundai Tuscon - a big car), which would have left it very vulnerable to being side swiped by other cars entering the site. So, we refused to park there an found a much better space a bit further inside the car park. To some up, it was a prime example of disorganized chaos!
On the day, there was also a farmers market. The usual stuff - alcohol, pastries, cheese among other non-farmers things such as baby clothes, ceramics and a not particularly skilled blacksmith - all ridiculously overpriced! (£12 for 3 doughnuts at one cake stall). We then headed to the tea room, to join another queue, for a coffee and a cake - £5 for a small slice of coffee cake, £4.50 for a scone! We didn't bother!
Heading onto the Snowdrop walk, which is through a small woodland, we noticed that although there were some Snowdrops, we saw more on the driveway into the estate and this cost us £7.50 each. The only thing of any interest were the small metallic "goblins" positioned throughout the garden. Otherwise a total waste of time and money - avoid.
