Super helpful staff make this fabulous Castle even better!
Bamburgh Castle的点评
点评：I visited Bamburgh Castle with my 88 year old mother. As she has some difficulties with her mobility we did our research before arriving and felt confident that she would manage at least some of the rooms. I cannot emphasise enough how brilliant our experience was from start to finish.
On arriving at the car park we were offered the option of accessible parking on tarmac which would be much better for wheelchair users. We waited a short while for the electric buggy to transport us up the steep hill. This proved to be a game changer in helping my mother access the Castle. The buggy driver dropped us at the cafe and after our refreshments the buggy then picked us up again and took us up the state rooms. We were offered helpful advice at every step. At the end of our visit another lovely buggy driver took us all the way back to our car - how's that for service?
The Castle itself is fabulous. So.much to see in every room and we loved the idioms art installations. Unrivalled views of the Northumberland Coast from the ramparts and the beautiful village below. Bamburgh Castle really is a jewel of English heritage. Every single member of staff we encountered was so friendly and helpful and really added to our enjoyment of the day.
