Gawthorpe Hall的点评
点评：Visited today with my Mum having glanced at the website. At first look it appeared open and the circle was clear with no line through it. Only if you scroll down do you find that the hall is in fact not open. What happened the partially open symbols?Google also shows as open 12-5, which is misleading as it is only the gardens that are open. The gardens consist of a patch of grass at the front. A patch of grass at the side with a few flowers on and then what seemed to be an entire courtyard of dead box hedging. I know from previous visits that the woods are resonable to walk round. The toilets didn't seem to be open ( couldn't find them where they were signed) and the one bin in the car park was over flowing. Such a disappointing experience. I truly feel the National Trust are getting worse and worse. Properties are not open and when they are they often have very limited opening hours or sections closed off, even though you pay full price to visit. Gawthorpe is a beautiful hall to see, if you can get in! It seems such a shame that the only National Trust property in that area is closed for such a long period of time. There were clearly some people working as there were a couple of school groups visiting. It feels like a missed opportunity for revenue. There were quite a few people milling around, who I am sure would have paid to go into the hall had it been open.
