Great setting and event BUT do not book hospitality … what a rip off!

点评：I cannot believe I paid £275 each for the dreadful food we were served in hospitality! I am still astonished at how we were ripped off. Never again!
We have done quite a bit of hospitality including Silverstone at £300 each last year (which was superbly done). Knockhill…..bacon in a roll, barely cooked, scrambled eggs we’re reconstituted and disgusting, tasting of gas and we had to put it on a table behind us coz the smell was so gas like. Lunch option beef (no one could cut through) or chicken balmoral (dried out & looked boiled) or pork belly (quite well cooked but crackling very soggy & chewy or vegetarian option beetroot & peas wrapped in pastry. We were given three halves of small roasted new potatoes which were overcooked and a dessert spoon of overcooked carrot & beans also the very small amount of gravy was ok as was the barely heated frozen yorkshire. Dessert was a cheap version of a carrot cake (2” square), a tasteless chocolate mousse or a tasteless strawberry tart (1.5” across). Afternoon tea, as lavish as it sounds was one of each 2” steak pie, 2” macaroni pie, 1” of sausage roll and a fruit scone with some cream already in, you could also have a orange out of the fruit bowl. Actually the “afternoon tea” was edible. It was all absolutely terrible for the money people paid and so much waste.
And even worse were the waiters/waitresses scrapping all the uneaten food off people’s plates, piling it onto one plate in front of us all and at our table!!
I would advise NO ONE to book hospitality here. I feel so ashamed that this is how our wonderful Scotland has been portrayed.
Just get food from one of the food vans on site, it will still be better and way more economical.
