点评：The museum was built over the sod house to preserve it. Look up as you step onto the entry porch of the museum and see if the nest is occupied. It was really special to walk into the house in its original location. It is very well presented. Along the walls of the museum are displays of items of that time period 1890-1940. The display signs are informative, without being overwhelming. Particularly interesting is Mr. McCully’s saddle, that survived being picked up by a tornado, along with the barn, chickens, and cows. No word on how the animals fared though. Don’t miss the root cellar. I found it interesting how much was laid by to feed a family of 5 through to spring when fresh food might again be available. Check out the old equipment in the shed before you leave. First time I knew of a corn binder!
