点评：A hidden gem!
We split up our group of seven between a 2-room lodge and a pool view room. It was perfect! We had the beach to ourselves for an afternoon. The included breakfasts were delicious. The staff were accommodating and readily available, helping us coordinate private transportation from San Jose as well as to the Nauyaca falls (most other guests rented a car).
A special shoutout to Brenda, our amazing waitress who brightened our stay.
And another shoutout to Erick, our wildlife tour guide. Erick’s excitement and knowledge about Costa Rican wildlife was contagious. On our tour with him, we saw sloths, toucans, capuchin monkeys, agouti, coati, hummingbirds, peccaries, and a porcupine.
Overall, we loved our three-night stay at Hacienda Baru and wished we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend if you want to maximize time in Costa Rican nature.
