Big Walker Lookout的点评
点评：If you are visiting wytheville Va, check out big Walker lookout. Take 52 north out of town and follow away for about 13 mile. Just when you get to the top, there will be a fire tower on your left, some picnic tables and a store. This is a great stop, especially during the fall with all the colors. We have been here before, but I just never really did a review. It cost eight dollars to go up the tower, but you can see five states from up there on a clear day. It’s a long climb up there, but well worth the effort.
You can always check out the store. If you go on the weekend, they have events going on such as some music and some people selling crafts. If you ask inside the store, there’s a trail that starts behind the store and goes further up the mountain. It’s an enjoyable hike maybe a half a mile.
Due to the storms, this fall, the area looked a little bit worse for wear. But it still a great place to stop and view the landscape from big Walker Mountain..
