One of the Best Dive Centres in the Maldives

点评：I have dived many times in the Maldives and since 2010 and have always had an amazing experience there. I have dived with Prodivers many times, over the years and have to say they are a well run, very professional dive centre, based on Kuredu island. Their dive guides are excellent, know their dive sites and are extremely safety conscious. The Maldives is notorious for current, and you can end up in some tricky situations at times if you are not careful. However, I would say that diving with this company you have nothing to fear regarding the equipment, the guides, and the attention to detail. Pro Divers is a very well run, professional outfit.
My only criticism of diving in the Maldives in 2025 is the destruction of the coral reefs. I started diving there in 2010 and can say that climate change and global warming has had a devastating effect on the reefs. They are recovering but I noticed that the reefs are very grey with not a lot of colour due to the destruction. The fish life has obviously been affected, and it’s the lack of shark life I noticed the most. The little reef fish seem to be recovering and coping with the destruction, but there are not as many sharks in the water as there used to be.
In 2013, the last time I dived there I remember seeing many large sharks and many small juveniles in the shallows at the resort. This time I saw hardly any small sharks swimming near the shore and few larger ones out in the deep.
However, I would say that diving in the Maldives is still a great experience for any diver who loves marine life. If you book with Pro Divers you will be guaranteed to have a positive, safe experience with dive guides who know their ocean and can show you the best dive sites at the time of year you want to dive.
