点评:I had been planning to go here for some time, and having seen an advert for a guided tour, a mate of mine and I purchased tickets.
I can only say that if you have an interest in history, in transport, in London or are from a certain era then this is somewhere that should be high on your list of things to do.
The artefacts contained within the premises, which is huge, range from old ticket machines, vintage paper stands retrieved from station platforms, signs and even signals right up to an extensive array of vintage underground trains, busses and trams that go back many decades. The vehicles are in excellent condition except those which are current restoration projects and in many cases, their stories are told. One such example is one of the original Victoria Line underground trains, which happens to be the very one Her Majesty the Queen travelled upon when she opened the line.
Our trip was a guided tour and our guide, Martin was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and gave us time to ask questions.
This is thoroughly recommended and I will probably look to revisit in a couple of years, maybe for an open day.
