Two Brothers Yachts的点评
点评：During our stay in Cancun a bit over a week ago, we did a super cool local shopping, food and culture tour in downtown Cancun.
All transport, bilingual guide and food/drink costs are included. Only additional money you'd need is cash for shopping at local markets (MXD pesos are best here) and tip money (can be pesos or USD) for the guide, restaurant staff and/or driver - if you feel the service warants it.
The driver Jorge and guide Fernanda were right on time picking us up from our resort. Conversation and drive to downtown was outstanding. Fernanda is a sweetheart and the perfect for this tour.
First stop was Mercado 28 which is a maze of local shops/merchants. Here you can window shop, haggle, and pick up reasonably priced gifts for folks at home or yourselves.
Next we crossed the parking lot to Plaza Bonita that has some great photo spots.
Once we had our fill of shopping we headed off to an amazing local taco shop La Lotería Taquería where we were welcomed like family. Started out by being shown how to make our own pastor taco and then were taken to our table where delicious food and drinks seemed to keep appearing out of nowhere. We got to decorate and make our own Cantaritos and play La Loteria - which is like Mexican Bingo! Had delicious flan for dessert too. Fernando who runs operations for Two Brothers also met us here.
Next stop was the state of Quintana Roo Governor's office. There was live music and folks dancing in the public plaza.
We then crossed the street to Parque las Palapas - which is a local gathering spot and park for families with a huge array of food carts/trailers with all sorts of delicious delights. We were so full from dinner that we skipped food here, but it too is included in your tour cost.
Once we lapped everything, we headed back to our transport to head back to our resort. Total time was about 4-5 hours. We found it well worth the time and cost and would highly recommend it for a unique time.
