Weston Museum的点评
点评：Somewhere I’d been meaning to go for a while but had never quite managed to get around to, it’s located in the back streets of Weston so isn’t somewhere that’s likely to be stumbled upon by the average tourist, but is well worth making the effort to track down. I started off in the café where there was a decent selection of cakes as well as other dishes, and this was set in the central part of the museum which is a lovely light filled atrium. This was currently filled with an exhibition featuring influential and powerful women, but I believe that these change regularly.
The bulk of the museum is upstairs and includes lots of information on the local area, both in terms of it’s history and of course objects that are connected to it. At the back was an old cottage that was preserved as it would have been a hundred years or so ago which was very interesting, and there was also a photographic exhibition with many pictures of Weston and the surrounding area from the 50’s and 60’s. All in all, well worth a visit.
