展翼国家猎鹰中心的点评
点评：To be up close to these amazing birds, cared for by dedicated, passionate experts who share their knowledge and experience, is incredibly special.
Even though the weather did not allow for the flight display, the indoor talk with a couple of feathered guests was fantastic.
We followed it with two encounters - first with Star, the native falcon, and then with Nox, the Ruru (native owl).
Both birds have been hand raised since chicks as a result of being orphaned/not able to be cared for by their parents, and have imprinted on humans, so are not able to be released (which is typically the primary goal of Wingspan).
Such a privilege to see these birds up close. To have them sit on your arm (or head), is amazing. Our teenage sons really enjoyed and valued the time with the birds.
If you visit, please donate to their rebuilding program as they look to complete development of their new site and special facilities.
