点评:We have been here a couple times before and each time we learnt something new. They start with an explanation of how they make their Alebrijes, from the very beginning of selecting the specific type of tree, how the maximize the use of the wood, how they get all the different colors from natural ingredients, to how they carve the wood and show you first hand how people are carving, painting and detailing each piece until it is finished. Of course, you can buy plenty of things at the store, from small to big ones, all very unique and colourful.
They also talk about how they teach others their craft in hopes of keeping this type of products from being available many years from now.
The town is called Tilcajete, there are many other shops as you enter it and also in the main plaza, during the different holidays they have an open market with other people showcasing their pieces
