点评:Usually if you see thousand-year old artwork of a largely unknown culture it is behind glass. You are among the rocks. The trail is so narrow you might find you hand on the ancient carvings as you climb. I like to think, though, that this brings it home; this is not something completely alien, this is us, us humans, marking the places we live in and visit. Even if some people can't resist adding a few of their own here and there.
The lower part of the climb is extremely well-paved and nearly level and easily accessible. It is absolutely worth climbing up to the wind shelter, though, as some of the most spectacular pieces are up there. The trail continues on, becoming less and less distinguishable from a game trail and more and more strenuous as well so just ignore it (unless you are the kind of glutton who walks the not-far-away Alkaline Trail just because it is there).
The small dig is also a very clean short trail and extremely nice placards but not a lot to see. Basically, don't bring kids. I saw lots of kids, and only the tweens and above seemed to be getting anything out of it.
