Traveled all the way from India just to see polar bears and saw 9 and 6 polar bears on day 1 and day 2 of our tours

点评：Being wild life enthusiasts, we wanted to always see Polar bears in the wild. Having missed seeing polar bears in Svalbard , we researched and found the next best place which is easily accessible and with good hotels to stay was Utqiagvik. We wrote to 71 North Tours and enquired which would be the best month to visit and which time of the day to book the tours as we would be travelling from India.
We received a reply in April, that although, wild life sighting is unpredictable, and with some luck on our side, the best month would be June.
So, we booked our tickets to arrive in Barrow on June 5th. We booked the last tour 9pm to 11 pm on June 5th. And the first trip 10am-12pm for 6th June morning.
Ray our guide on both the days. He was the best we could ask for. It was just me, my husband and Ray on 5th June trip.
24hrs sunshine as we were at the time of midnight sun, weather beautiful ...the drive to the Point Barrow was stunning with frozen snow all over.
God answered our prayers as we saw 9 polar bears , one mum and cub too. Our joy knew no bounds. The bears were all in playful mood, sliding down the snow, burrowing into the snow, looking out of it, so cute.
The following day, we saw 6 polar bears out of which we saw a polar bear couple mating in close proximity to our vehicle.
Besides watching bears on second day, Ray explained about all the places on the way, the history of the place, the culture, the festivals. We stopped to take lots of pictures of places, the whaling boats , both ancient and modern , the northern most football field in the world, Cathy Parker Field
Ray never rushed us and gave us lot more time than the 2 hour tour

第二天，我们看到了6只北极熊，其中有一对北极熊夫妇在我们车旁交配。
第二天，除了看熊之外，雷还为我们讲解了沿途的景点、历史、文化和节日。我们停下来拍了很多照片，包括古老和现代的捕鲸船，以及世界上最北端的足球场——凯西·帕克球场。
雷从不催促我们，给了我们比2小时行程更长的时间。
