Not the Khao Sok Adventure We Hoped For
Khao Sok Travel的点评
点评：We booked our Khao Sok stay with Khao Sok Travel and stayed at Khao Sok Safari Resort (Tree House). We had the 2-day 1-night package.
Overall, sadly, we are disappointed with our experience :(
First, the very few Positives:
- The food at our hotel was very good and our guide (and kitchen staff) was super friendly. Our room was alright.
- We had a nice bamboo rafting tour with heartwarming local guides that prepared coffee for us.
Thats about it...
The Negatives:
- Communication was not good. We waited at a"bus stop" for 30 minutes without any sign of someone coming to pick us up to bring us to the accommodation.
- The trekking tour was disappointing. We basically walked a down a jungle-path for 3 hours and saw some spiders and snakes on the side of the road. We expected a more immersive experience, by going deeper into the jungle and seeing a greater variety of animals.
- The Full day Cheow Lan Lake was very disappointing. These trips are out-sourced and not directly organized by Khao Sok Travel. While the scenery is beautiful and definitely worth seeing, there were several negative aspects. Our Boat was very crowded. We visited a cave (Diamond Cave) and conducted a "jungle trek". The latter comprised walking through mud for 30 minutes without any informational content provided by the tour guide we had for the lake tour. Since we were not told that such a jungle trek would occur, the majority of participants of this tour were utterly unprepared and did not show up with the right shoe ware. We had a lunch break at a floating peer, where we had lunch and had to stay for around 2 hours without any possibility to leave on our own accord. We must mention that we were unfortunate with the weather and it was raining relentlessly which negatively tainted the overall experience.

- 切奥兰湖一日游非常令人失望。这些行程是外包的，并非由考索旅行社直接组织。虽然风景很美，而且……虽然值得一看，但也有一些不足之处。我们的船非常拥挤。我们参观了一个洞穴（钻石洞），还进行了一次“丛林徒步”。所谓“丛林徒步”，就是在泥泞中跋涉30分钟，而我们之前在湖上游览时遇到的导游并没有提供任何讲解。由于事先没有告知会有这样的丛林徒步，所以大多数游客都毫无准备，也没有穿合适的鞋子。我们在一个水上码头休息吃午饭，在那里待了大约两个小时，期间没有办法自行离开。此外，我们运气不好，遇到了持续不断的雨，这严重影响了整体体验。
总的来说，很遗憾，我们对这次旅行非常失望 :(
