Excellent trip where we were very well looked after and we learned a lot.

点评：Had three excellent days on a private tour with Kim in Flanders. Looking to learn more about the experience of my grandfather in WW1 we toured Ypres, Vimy Ridge, The Somme, Villieres Bretteneaux, Popperinge and others.
Kim was great in scheduling the tour around our requirements and whilst there is never enough time to do everything she created an itinerary that made the most of our availability.
Kim has a deep understanding of what lies behind the various actions that occurred and has an ability to personalise the experience of those involved that really brings the history to life. We were therefore able to begin to appreciate (as far as one can without actually living through anything like it) the desperate circumstances of life, and death, in the front line.
Kim was very personable and accommodating of our party of three older people while ensuring we kept to a reasonable timetable. The lighter moments were also much appreciated amongst the potentially unremitting awfulness of the subject matter (and the lunch venues were well chosen).
Overall this was a great choice for us and hopefully one we may be able to repeat to do some of the things we did not have time for on this trip. Very highly recommended for anyone looking for a bespoke experience of The Western Front.
