点评：Although it is clear that the animals are healthy, we were very uncomfortable with the animal feeding activities; food for the animals can be purchased and it comes in labelled pots. However, there is no monitoring (of that we were aware) of the amount of food that visitors were giving to the animals and no one checking that the correct food is being given in the correct animal pens.
We also felt uncomfortable in The Barn where animals were being forced onto children's laps - this negative experience was worsened by the rude memeber of staff.
Our other concern was the amount of chickens and ducks in one pen - there seemed too little room and not enough water for the ducks to swim in.
It felt as if human entertainment was valued above animal welfare.
I am sure this is not the case as anyone can deduce from visiting that the animals look healthy and have great facilities but this was our feeling having visited.
Nonetheless, the range of animals is vast, the farm is beautifully situated with a well-thought layout, the site is immaculate in terms of cleanliness, there is a brilliant play area and bouncy castles for children, the animals seem healthy and happy, and there is a variety of food and beverages on offer at the coffee shop and food shack.
Would I reccomend this place for families? - absolutely. But I do think there should be more staff monitoring around the animals - especially if animal feeding happens all day and not at specific times with controlled amounts.
