点评:The most stunning views > the hardest hike. Our fam of five trekked up here. My oldest and I wanted to go. We’re all decent shape, pretty active, and I hike a lot and exercise regularly, but I do have bad asthma (currently controlled though). But we prepared and researched. Regardless of our decent fitness levels, this trail was steep beyond our expectations. We anticipated steep and moderate. This was just nonstop up. My son’s fitness tracker said he did 61 flights of stairs after this was completed. It was no joke. A mile up are the best views. Kids did not appreciate my Jurassic Park humming. I persisted, regardless. Anyhoo, my youngest ones wimped out and we didn’t make it to the top. We went approx 3/4 of the way. Oldest teen went forth and said it was “cool, but the best views were at the 1 mile mark.” We all trekked back down and that was fine and dandy. I wrecked a T-shirt with the dirt from this trail. And my socks. They’re perma stained. So wear clothes you don’t love. (I set backpack down to get out water and snacks at one point and the dirt stained my shirt). I cannot imagine doing this in the winter when ppl claim it’s muddy. No way would I attempt this in the mud. 😆. All this whining aside- it was the best view and so worth in the end. Do it. Just be even more prepared than you think.
