点评：I booked a 7-day, 6-night Kerala tour package with Joshua Travels, and the experience was nothing short of excellent. Our travel coordinator, Tipsy, gave great suggestions based on my requirements. I wanted both 3-star and 4-star options, and she provided two choices within each category.
My plan was to travel from Cochin to Trivandrum, with Trivandrum being the last stop before returning to Cochin for departure. Since that would have been a 6+ hour journey at a stretch, Tipsy suggested covering Trivandrum before Alleppey and keeping Alleppey for the last day. This way, the final leg would only be a 3-hour journey, allowing us to rest and still have some time to explore Cochin. This turned out to be excellent advice.
She responded promptly to all my queries and was always available throughout the planning process. All the hotels included in the package were good, except the one in Kovalam, which we already knew had some negative reviews — but we chose it anyway for the beach view, so that’s not their fault. She also suggested a premium, private houseboat (non-sharing), keeping in mind our privacy and concerns about mosquitoes. The food on the houseboat was delicious, and breakfast buffets at all hotels were included and tasted great. The vehicle provided was in good condition.
Driver Abel deserves a special mention. Being a native of Munnar, he knows the routes very well and has good connections in most of the places we visited. He was flexible and never complained, even when we had to start our travel very early or late. We wouldn’t have experienced the elephant ride if not for his local connections. He also encouraged us to try activities like hot air ballooning, zip lining, and other offbeat experiences, avoiding the usual tourist spots. All the shopping places he recommended were excellent.
Overall, he ensured we had a very pleasant and memorable trip.
