点评：To reach Trunyan Cemetery, you need to start at Kedisan Dock. There, you will find locals offering boat rides across the lake. Unfortunately, the experience begins with aggressive negotiation over prices—some operators initially quoted us 1,200,000 IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) for the crossing, then dropped to 950,000 after some bargaining(740,000 IDR for the boat trip on a rather old and basic boat+ 10k for the ticket+ 200k "mandatory guide donation") .
The entire round-trip, including the visit to the village and cemetery, lasted about one hour. The village itself is quite small, with simple houses and tin roofs, reflecting a very modest way of life.We didn't feel safe at all. The cemetery is a modest experience but more limited than expected:
On the right: A small wall made of skulls. Our guide mentioned these were arranged by locals for tourists.
In front: About 5–6 bamboo cages containing skeletons worthwhile viewing
On the left: A pile of bones, plastic, and metal items—likely the personal belongings of the deceased—stacked together rather than being arranged with the care and respect one might expect for those who have passed away.
While the visit could be of some interest, especially if you are already in the area for other main attractions, it does not justify the high prices or the pressure to pay extra. The experience may appeal to those curious about local customs, but it is not a must-see unless you have a strong interest in unique burial practices. Overall, the cost and approach of the locals left a negative impression, overshadowing the cultural aspects of the visit.
