点评:Definitely worth a few hours to visit this enormous, repeat enormous, feat taken on by volunteers. To build a replica of the Anglo-Saxon burial boat unearthed at Sutton Hoo in 1939 (I believe). Entrance is free but there are ways of making a donation which will help the work to go ahead, remember, wood isn’t cheap and especially oak. Also quite a few mementoes to purchase, including bits and bobs made from offcuts of the wood used. A little noisy as the guys are working but that is part of the feat. My partner asked how this all came about and the answer, tongue in cheek ‘well there were two guys in a pub and after a pint or two……’ not unbelievable remembering Watson and Crick in the Eagle, Cambridge, discussing DNA. We will make further trips just to see how this fantastic project progresses.
