点评：What a Day! Arnhem Highway Private Nature Tour with Geoff
If you're ever in Darwin and want to do more than just scratch the surface—this is the tour to do it. We spent the day with Geoff on this tour and it was hands-down one of the best experiences you could ask for in the Top End.
The day kicked off with a relaxed drive around Darwin—Geoff's local history knowledge is next level (ask him anything about the wharf area, WWII, or Darwin in general… you'll learn a thing or ten!). First stop was a ‘tourist snapshot’ at the boxing crocodile and then a great coffee and snack at the quirky Corroboree Park Tavern, complete with buffalo and classic Territory charm.
Then came a major highlight: Annaburroo Station, where we got to spend a few incredible hours with Dave the station manager and his trusty steed - Tango! He gave us a genuine, behind-the-scenes look at station life—think red dirt, wildlife, buffalo, immense birdlife at waterholes, stories, a spin in a buffalo catcher and that huge NT sky. It was raw, real, and unforgettable.
Quick refreshment stop at the legendary Bark Hut Inn (because why not?), then we cruised to Fogg Dam just in time for an unreal wetland sunset. The birdlife was amazing, and yep—we spotted a couple of crocs lurking in the water (from a safe distance, of course!).
The grand finale? A proper Territory feed at the iconic Humpty Doo Hotel—huge meals, cold drinks, and that no-fuss local vibe to end the perfect day.
Massive thanks to Geoff for being such a legend of a guide—knowledgeable, relaxed, and clearly passionate about the Top End. If you're after a private tour that hits all the Territory notes—culture, wildlife, outback stations, cold beers and sunsets—this is the one.
10/10 would do it all again.
