点评：We returned to Academy Sailing this year after first discovering the school last season, and in the loveliest way, it felt like coming back to see old friends. There's a real sense of warmth and laid-back familiarity cultivated by Andy and Katherine that makes this school stand out for us.
Andy, our instructor, is outstanding. We felt really well supported throughout - his calm, patient manner and clear but thorough explanations laid the proper groundwork for each exercise. We felt in safe hands at all times.
The food, cooked by Katherine, deserves its own special mention—it was absolutely delicious. We were honestly amazed by how well fed we were. Every meal was incredible (particular mention to the home made cakes), and added a real sense of care to the whole experience- it felt as much like a holiday as it did a course.
We also went in November last year and it is worth mentioning that even though the weather was cold, the sailing was perfect for us (calm), and we were nice and warm in the heated cabins, and we slept very well.
All in all, we couldn't recommend Academy Sailing more highly. It’s a proper gem, and we’re looking forward to returning.
