Brilliant Osprey Hide

点评：We spent a wonderful afternoon, evening and then early morning at this brilliant hide. During the afternoon on our first day we had regular visits from the Kingfishers, sitting, diving and catching fish and then in the evening a Kingfisher sat on the branch in front of the hide for nearly an hour. I got photos of it cleaning itself, bringing up a food pellet and in lots of different poses. It was scared off by an Osprey who then dived and caught a fish. The following morning we saw Herons fishing, numerous Kingfishers, and then our first Osprey of the day came in. It sat in the tree nearby for a bit and then dived in front of the hide sucessfully catching a fish. Another Osprey then came in and flew round and round diving unsuccessfully a number of times. It finally dived successfully, got a fish in it's claws but couldn't seem to lift it and sat on the water wrestling with it and trying to take off. It eventually gave up and left without its fish. It tried a couple more times, but was finally chased off by another Osprey. We also saw two Otters during the pevious evening. Thanks for an amazing time in the hide. We will definitely be back.
