Wonderful Garden tour of the property

点评：I took a special garden tour of Clermont and the estate grounds today. What a beautiful sunny day and perfect for visiting the grounds.
The State of New York hired a professional gardener to maintain the gardens and bring them back to life. She and her staff have done a wonderful job and little by little they are recreating the gardens to the way the daily had them.
We started with the original South Spring garden near the house, then we toured the Walked Garden, which the gardening team have brought back to life, the we went to the Children’s Garden and then the Cutting Gardens. You can tell it has taken a lot of work to get these gardens in shape.
Our tour guide did a good job taking about the Livingston family and their history of the Hudson River Valley. As we went through the gardens, she explained the work being done and the progress being made in the gardens. I thought this was a very interesting and informative tour.
After the tour was over, I walked around the former estate and enjoyed the gardens, lawn and the views of the Hudson River. It is so beautiful here.
