Wonderful park visit and storytelling event

点评：A friend and I had planned to visit some other historical sites in the Hudson River Valley, but a bridge closure prevented us from going so we took Route 9 North up the river and visited the Stony Point Battlefield Historic Site. It was very interesting.
We were able to tour the museum, which told the story of the Fort and of the battle that took place between the British and the Americans. It was very interesting to talk with the docent about the battle and what happened that evening. There are all sorts of artifacts and maps of the fort and battle in the museum and the staff is very informative about the grounds.
We even got to hear Master Storyteller, Johnathn Kruk, tell stories of the Hudson River Valley. That was a lot of fun. Then we watched and heard the cannon go off at the park later that afternoon. The demonstration was really interesting. It is a great park to visit on a sunny warm day.
