Another Good Visit To the Rowe And The Platte River

点评：I go to Rowe nearly every year to see the cranes. The second day I was not disappointed as we had a great morning on a river filled with birds. If I had one criticism, it would be that it felt like the blind this year was more packed with people...with the new blinds built a few years ago, they are very large and have a lot of space, but it felt cramped on this day compared to all of them in the past. That said I realize they have to make the most of every morning and evening for such a short season...so I get it...its best to fill them to capacity. The other note I should mention is cranes are not always predictable. Most mornings are very good with a lot of action, but I've had a couple of visits where an eagle flew over before dawn and many cranes left because of that...sometimes some come back to the river and sometimes they don't. And it's a bummer when it all happens in near darkness and that's it for the day. With this in mind I would always suggest booking on a couple of different days...I usually do two or three times...and have never been skunked completely. I end up leaving Nebraska feeling like I witnessed something special.
