Boned by the big corporate culture of Vail resorts

点评：I have skied Afton since the 80s. In February of 2022, my brother and I took our sons there for a day of skiing and a trip down memory lane. First of all 1/3 of the park (the meadowlands and several other areas) was closed. Also, they had gone all Covid stupid and required a shot card to eat food at any of their restaurants (which are all fast food cafeteria style). You could go into the bathrooms no problem but you couldn't even walk in, grab your food, and eat outside. We were planning on staying until close at 10:00 pm but around 1:30, they closed all the lifts due to "High Winds" When I asked about a refund or a reduced rate for the following day I was told I had to submit a request online and might receive some sort of credit. I submitted it that day and got nothing. I fought it with my credit card company and lost that as well. Basically we skied for 2 hours for $500. The next day we went to Welch Village. We talked to several of their customers that had been there the day prior and all of them left there with a credit for the next day. I am now a loyal Welch Village customer and will never spend another nickle at Afton Alps or any other Vail resort.
