点评:Adjacent to the water park, this attraction is pretty unique in many different ways. 30 lev entry fee gets you into the grounds, but there's an additional 10 lev for access to some of the other rooms in the main building.
We did access the subterranean throne rooms complete with gothic armour, art and table settings. There's other niche areas to this attraction, which feels like it's setup for hosting different parties and events rather than a visitor attraction.
There's alot of work been put into building this place, it is unique, but, it's not 'polished' like Gaudi's Barcelona mystique.
The staff were all out working away, cutting grass, hedges and tending some of the ponds, albeit 50%,fountains were dry, the large lake was algae green.
However, the aviary should really be the focus of maintenance if it's supposed to be a place to show off the various peacocks, geese, turkey and chickens inside.
The cafe areas are different, some with plush velvet chairs, almost like those at a wedding venue, other wrought iron, next to water features surrounded by flowers (plastic) which do make the place feel tropical.
Be careful underfoot, as with most Bulgarian tourist attractions, there a lack of Health and Safety signage, watch your head on some of the entrances and mind your feet on the cobbles. Was it worth 30 lev, probably, as its unique. I'm sure when it's spruced up for the summer season, it's great, but we didn't see it at it's best in May 25.
