We were a group of four anglers and Bite me Charter for a trip to the Middle Andamans in April. From the very beginning, we were extremely well looked after.
We spent both the first and last day of our trip in Port Blair, where Santosh took excellent care of us. We went out for meals and drinks together and explored some of the local sights – a relaxed start and finish to our adventure.
In between, we set off on our fishing trip: we boarded the boat and headed toward Mayabunder. During the crossing, we were already fishing and managed to land the first catches. Once we arrived at the harbor, we enjoyed a great dinner at Hotel Blue Bird.
The following days brought mixed weather conditions, but Santosh and the captain made the best of it. On days when offshore fishing wasn’t possible due to strong winds, they offered us an exciting alternative: freshwater fishing in the mangrove area of Paramundi. This was a truly adventurous and memorable experience – one of the highlights of the trip.
Over the six fishing days, we still managed to catch some really good fish.
We were absolutely thrilled with the fishing grounds – short runs to the reefs, very little fishing pressure, and tremendous potential. We're already planning to return in 2026.
