点评:This was our favorite hike at Voyageurs National Park. It's the longest in the area of Ash River Visitor Center, right about 3 miles in total. We left right from the Visitor Center, and spent about an hour and a half hiking.
We didn't realize until we were on it that the trail does cross a road partway along, but there was no traffic either time as we went across and later returned. The very end of the trail is a loop that circles around the ending of the small peninsula between Lake Kabetogama and Blind Ash Bay, with multiple nice views of the water and a stretch of the lake. There where some bugs when we hiked in the later afternoon in early August, but they weren't terrible.
We had originally thought that this hike and the Kabetogama Lake Overlook Trail were completely separate, but really the two intersect - the overlook trail basically dead-ends/T-s into this trail. On our return route, we took a short walk up to the overlook/viewing area at the end of that trail and enjoyed the view there as well.
