Stone Hill Winery的点评
点评：We tried several wineries during our Hermann stay. Closer in to town than some and larger is the Stone Hill Winery. It’s a more refined (though not necessarily nicer) tourist experience. Stone Hill feels more like an industrial winery, touting itself as one of the largest wine producers in the country. We had two nice experiences here.
Wine Cellar Tour – in order to keep their wines at the proper temperature while it was aging, they made a series of underground cellars. We got to tour them. They were large all filled with both oak barrels of wine and the large stainless-steel tanks. The tour-guide was quite good.
Wine Tasting – they have several tasting rooms. Must get larger crowds at times. We were served by a nice young lady. Knowledgeable about their wines, but a novice regarding the broader wine topics. We had the ‘six’. Didn’t like the wines as well as Adam Puchta. Could have been our choices. Could have been the wines. We mused that it would be nice to have side-by-side tastes of the same varieties from the different wineries.
