点评：Really hate to give a poor review to such a historic place with fantastic volunteers but I visited in early February 2025 and was left ‘heugh’gly disappointed.
I was aware of some ongoing work before visiting but not on the scale in turned out to be. Fully understand the need to make safe for the public etc but in its current guise it is extremely difficult to recommend visiting.
Two small rooms was the sum total of my visit and although there was some interesting exhibits it was not really the experience I was hoping for. I understand this could be the case for the duration of 2025. I just wish it had been communicated better on the website (a clear map/diagram). I do feel that it could’ve been organised better so that so much of the site wasn’t out of action at once. Not sure why if no work is actually taking place why some of the fences can’t be pulled back and a volunteer show a visitor more of the site - for example the tanks (I was the only one there)
Best of luck for the renovations and running repairs but not worth a special trip to see currently (as it was for me).
