Disappointing at times, bins needed, cheaper parking options & friendlier staff in the car park shop would help!!

点评：Almost £15 for parking is steep… ok for a whole day but surely there should be an option for half a day. I know they have to make money but it just prices people out. My son always buys his big brother a teddy whilst we are there. Going into the shop we were immediately panicked seeing everything vastly different from last time and worried that the Teddys has gone. We asked the tall male member of staff & he seemed inconvenienced by us asking and merely pointed his finger to a far corner, in a different position to where they used to be. He wasn’t the friendliest. The prices in the shop were astronomical. £75 for a teddy & £100 for some honey… tiny bags of sweets £4. Again it just seems so very overpriced. We enjoyed visiting our usual haunts but found it very disappointing that there are seemingly no bins. We bought an ice cream from the van by the stepping stones and I went in search of a bin afterwards. Thinking I was just being stupid not being able to see or find one, I asked the ice cream van guy if he would mind me giving the empties to him. He wasn’t very kind & accepted without issue. We got chatting about the bins or lack of them & he said that dog owners regularly complain to him when he won’t take their DOG POO BAGS and put them in HIS bin inside the ice cream van!!!! Why anyone would think it’s ok for dog poo to be inside with ice cream… oh my days. I really felt for him, he was lovely but doesn’t deserve people being rude. I can’t quite understand why there are no bins anywhere… it just encourages littering & of course this is not ok, especially given such a beautiful area. Why no bins Bolton Abbey??????????
