Not the peaceful nature experience I expected

点评：I had the leaflet to visit this place for a long time. I was disappointed.
Perhaps May and June would be better for the flowers. Despite this I walked around and a lot of it looks as though it could do with some TLC. I mean in the wooded copse there is a clearing with benches to sit on. One had a tree that had come down over one of the seats and wouldn't take half an hour to remove it. There's a pond and picnic area. I saw only one seat and it wasn't even overlooking the pond. All ponds look overdue for maintenance/cutting back. Bird song was practically nil. Signage for the plants is missing in some areas. I also imagined that is would be a peaceful oasis. Not so. You can always hear traffic and farm machinery clanking with reverse horns.
However the nursery of plants is good. Not all nursery sown or propagated. Some are brought in like at a garden centre. Toasted teacake and decaf coffee were excellent! Would I come again? I probably wouldn't as I know of other much better nurseries and peaceful areas. The ideal place for someone wanting coffee, lunch, catch up with friends and for the children to play. For those it would be ideal. If you're someone who loves wildlife, peace and nature like me, better places are out there
