点评：During a recent trip to Algiers, my wife asked me to pick up some souvenirs for our daughters, and she specifically mentioned Handmade Art in Hydra. Located in one of the city’s most charming and upscale neighborhoods, this small shop quickly became one of the highlights of my visit.
Though modest in size, Handmade Art is packed with beautifully crafted items that reflect Algeria’s rich cultural heritage. Everything is handmade with great attention to detail—far more unique than the mass-produced souvenirs you find in typical tourist spots. I picked up a few pieces, including a stunning little soap box that was a work of art in itself. The homemade soap inside was a delightful bonus, and my daughter absolutely loved it.
I also bought a lovely candle adorned with a small Berber brooch—a perfect decorative touch for our home. My wife was so impressed she ended up buying more gifts for our oldest daughter.
What really sets this place apart, aside from the quality of the items, is the people. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. They even gave us a discount and made sure everything was carefully packed for the long trip back to the States—everything arrived in perfect condition.
The prices are fair considering the craftsmanship, and you can feel the passion behind each piece. If you're looking for authentic, high-quality souvenirs or gifts with a personal touch, this is the place to go.
